Get Carded

With all the talk about cards lately, I'd like to share an idea. I do this all the time, with varied reactions.

Buy a card for someone. Put a post-it note on the front of the envelope. Write the person's name on that post-it note. Put another post-it note inside the card. Write your message on that post-it (you might actually need more than one). This way, the recipient can just remove the post-it notes and reuse the card. So practical.

Are you kidding me? I love to keep the cards I receive and enjoy them over and over again! Once I even took all of the cards/letters/emails I received from a friend and combined them all into one book so she had a 10 or so year history of her life. It would not be as cool if the cards were post it noted.

p.s. what talk about cards? I think I missed something...

My parents always do that! Here's another cute card-related thing they do: For Christmas, one of them will give the other one a bundle of new greeting cards to use throughout the year. Like, the gift is that they spent the time at Walgreen's finding the best cards for people they know. It's a gift that's thoughtful and practical and, in my opinion, very cute. :)

Even better: Take your Christmas cards from last year and cut out the front of the card to use for gift tags.
