Hitting the Wal

Karl and I decided to paint the bedrooms in our new house before we move in. After picking out the colors we liked (who knew there could be so many shades of blue?!), our next stop was the Consumer Reports database. Based on the ratings, we decided our best bet was Dutch Boy Home. Turns out the only place in Madison that carries Dutch Boy Home is Wal-Mart. Before you start gagging, let me just tell you that we've had a Wal-Mart gift card sitting around since our wedding, and it happened to be almost exactly the same price as the paint we needed. So for $1.32, we escaped from Wal-Mart with two gallons of paint. What a bargain!

I know what you mean--we got some things at a baby shower that were from Wal-Mart, and made an even exchange for some clothes Henry sorely needed. But for some reason, every time I end up there (even when I avoid it), it's never a pleasant experience. Ugh.

Can't wait to see your new place!

You seriously did research on paint? That is taking this librarian thing a little to far.A car I can understand...maybe even appliances but paint??? What is next, consumer reports for shower curtains?

I'm just gonna echo Anna and say I can't wait to see the new place, either!
