In the Kitchen

I've wanted to have chickens for a long time, but now that we have our own house, we don't need chickens. That's because so many of our friends have chickens and have more eggs than they can possibly use. Karl and I were on a walk last week and our neighbor stopped us to give us these. We also got to meet his chickens. He's got a rooster, too, which isn't allowed, but we're not telling.

Speaking of chickens, on Sunday I made this chicken pot pie. I've made pot pie once before, when Karl and I were dating and I was trying to secretly convince him to propose. Because good wives make pot pie, right?
Those are our seedling hopefuls in the background...

You've reached chicken critical mass! That's so cool.
