Ever since seeing the movie Splash in the theater in 1984, I've known in my heart that I am part mermaid. I love being in the water, and I love shimmery things. That can only mean one thing, right? Definitely part mermaid. I recently signed up for a Master's swim class. It meets three days a week from 7-8am. I almost didn't sign up because I was sure that everyone else in the class would be Olympic, but you know what? I love it! Everyone else in the class is pretty much Olympic, actually, but it doesn't matter. The coaches give us workouts and we do them. That's it. It's a great way to start the day, and you should see my arms... I knew there were muscles hiding in there!

um, AWESOME. Next time we're in Greece you're for sure going to swim in that Olympic pool and they will think you're an official Olympian for sure. I am proud of you!
