I recently lost my camera on a trip to Colorado. I rarely lose things, so of course misplacing my camera drove me up the wall. Even though I was sure I had left it in our cabin, I filed lost item reports with the rental car company and the airline. And I am so, so, so thankful to have received this response from Hertz:

This post could have been written by me - misplacing things drives be BONKERS. I am thrilled you got your camera back and I need every detail of the trip! I'd say I'll call you, but you know my track record of that. Maybe the new time difference will help...
